Shanean was admitted to hospital at 300pm this afternoon for the final chemo cycle
nothing is happening tonight but they have brought her in now because she needs to be on standby for the emergency dept operation room as this is where they are going to insert her line
the line goes into her neck and is necessary because the chemo goes in over 5 days (a line in the arm lasts only 3 days apparently) with this line they can do 2 procedures at once (ie put fluids in whilst giving chemo) so is a bit more practical in that respect ( as much as a line in the neck can be)
so the timetable for the next week or so is
- chemo from Wednesday to Sunday
- she might be let out for a couple of hours Sunday afternoon
- stem cells put in on Monday
she might also be allowed out for lunch Monday depending how she is doing
