Today Shanean is on the up - her white blood cells are 2.6 (vs 0.1 2 days ago - normal is 4.0) and everything else is a bit more normal
Her mouth sores have improved a lot, the earache is gone and she also had severely swollen glands in her neck which have come down a lot. The last 2 days we have pretty much lost contact with her as she has slept for 48 hours non stop - better than looking at the roof of the hospital ward
So looks like she will be out of hospital on Sunday maybe. Her next scan is next Wednesday and this will let us know if the transplant will proceed. Her sister flies out from South Africa on the 20th June
So glad to hear Shanean slept for 48 hours, this must be her record. We all know Neam loves to sleep.
