Yesterday Shanean had to go to hospital again, she woke up with a fever and a splitting ear-ache which obviously means an infection had taken hold
Luckily it was during business hours yesterday so she avoided going through Accident & Emergency and went straight up to the ward where they had a bed waiting for her
She was put on antibiotics to fight the infection and morphine for the pain associated with the recurring mouth sores and ear ache. She is also getting white blood cell booster injections
Today she is still quite low, all the blood counts are still at zero so she will be getting more blood and platellete transfusions, she is on quite high doses of morphine so is a bit groggy and sleepy and will continue the IV antibiotics
They are expecting her to bounce back by the end of the week, so its just the usual waiting game until then. This is day 5 of being at the bottom and it seems to be taking a bit longer for her to bounce back up - the cumulative effects from all these cycles means the body needs a bit more time to recover
