This evening Jannie and Christene finally arrived. They landed in Brisbane and were bussed down to the Gold Coast to stay the night at the Crowne Plaza hotel (floors 19 and 23 - nice views), then bussed back to Brisbane for a flight to Sydney landing 5.00pm this afternoon

The Qantas staff were good - Christene told them the purpose of her visit and they were given priority access and boarding and special attention - including unlimited top ups of wine and cold beer in the economy class section. The flight attendant even lent them his phone so they could call us when the plane landed.

Christene's appointment at the hospital is at 9.30am tomorrow (Thursday) - various blood tests, scans and questionairres to make sure all is good to go for the transplant
