The strong chemo started at about 10.00am today. Its a urine yellow colour that is wrapped in black plastic and is not allowed to be handled without gloves and protective garments.
It is going in her IV slowly along with lots of fluids and oral tables to fight the side effects. Some mild nausea so far but the real problem is the headaches that have not let up since the lumbar punches started last week. The headache moved from the base of the skull above the neck to around the front under the eyes like a classic migrane.
They have given her some strong drugs which will knock her out so hopefully she will be able to sleep through it tonight. I think she is halfway through so the chemo will stop tomorrow morning and then the antidote will be given tomorrow afternoon/evening
