Chemo V

Still no more official news regarding Shanean's scan results. She had her fifth chemo last Friday and as the Professor was on holidays there was only a stand in registrar who was hesitant to provide too much info as she doesnt know Shanean's case or background

What we do know is that the scan has showed up no signs of the cancer - active cells or tumors. A big turnaround from a few months ago where she could not even lie down flat for the pain.

We dont know yet how many more chemos there is to go - as a minimum it will be 6 (one more) but that is up to the Professor when she sees him next week

When chemo is finished, regular monitoring will take place - probably every three months to start with and then reducing frequency gradually as time gets on. This goes on for 5 years apparently.

As for this fifth round of chemo its been OK. Its been over three months now so it is getting a bit weary, but it has never been as bad as the first round

Next Friday the 12th Feb is the next chemo and appointment with the Professor, so we will get more answers then
