so this is not technically allowed - me blogging touchy feely things on shayne's blog - but i figure i might not get into too much trouble..
just wanted to wish shayne (daddy) a very happy 38th birthday for today.
and also take the opportunity to publicly thank him for everything he's done to keep this family boat afloat over the last nearly two years. he is a wonderful husband, father and family man and we are all very lucky to have him.

He sounds like an amazing man and I've been reading the blog. So on a touchy feely side from a stranger, I want to say: Shayne , you are a hero in the eyes of many. I salute you as a father of two myself.Al wat ek vir jou wil se Shanean is ; jou yster ( loosely translated to Superwoman, for those who don't get the boerelanguage.)

ReplyDeleteSeeing as how Shanean was brave enough to write on Shayne's blog then I will also. Happy birthday to not only a wonderful husband and father (just quoting Shanean) but also to a wonderful son. Not only has he been a perfect son he also searched the world and brought us home the most amazing brave and gorgeous daughter in law who we love dearly. And if that was'nt enough we now have have two of the most adorable grandchildren Celeste'and Joel. So thank you Shayne you are doing a great job you are much loved. For Neam I do not have enough words to say how brave, strong and fantastic you are in the way you have managed this rotten disease - but I do know you will be well soon and this nightmare you have been through will just be a bad memory. You are a great little family and a very special couple. Here's to the lions at Cape Town airport in March 2012!! Moggi
